Mouse Genome Engineering Facility
Senior Research Associate
The CRI Mouse Genome Engineering Core Facility was established in 2014. The goal of the facility is to produce transgenic and knockout mouse models.
The facility provides low-cost DNA microinjection services, ES cell manipulation, and microinjection services to all CRI and UT Southwestern investigators. We are focused on using Cas9 mediated genome engineering methods to generate novel mouse models. The facility also provides services on strain rederivation, sperm cryopreservation and IVF procedures for resurrecting sperms.
Dr. Hao Zhu is the director of the facility with responsibility for its overall operation. Yu Zhang is the lead scientist in the facility, with over 10 years of mouse engineering experience.
