Children’s Medical Center Research Institute at UT Southwestern has launched a Genetic and Metabolic Disease Program to better understand the biological basis of childhood genetic diseases and improve therapy.
“We know about hundreds of metabolic diseases, and there are hundreds more out there,” said Dr. DeBerardinis, Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Division Director of Pediatric Genetics and Metabolism at UT Southwestern. “I am a scientist and a physician and am always thinking about ways to improve lives.”
